The challenge
Project Skate revolutionizes the understanding of skateboarding by analyzing a skateboarder's movements in real-time. Showcasing skills like speed, height, rotation, grabs, and tricks, this innovative tool invites both athletes and spectators to experience the sport on a new level.
Think Less brought this to life through a short film featuring professional skateboarder Sky Brown.
The craft
Think Less, in collaboration with VICE & Google, adeptly executed the production of Project Skate in Southern California. Over two intense days of filming with a 50-person crew, we captured Sky Brown testing the groundbreaking technology. The project, which was unveiled at Google's IO event and featured across prominent social channels including Sky Brown's Instagram, has been recognized with several awards including Cannes Silver Spike, Silver Asia Spike, and One Club for Creativity ADC Gold Cube.
Through Project Skate, Think Less contributed to reshaping the skateboarding narrative, underlining our expertise in merging storytelling with advanced technology.
