The premise

How big are the drops, really? We brought Rampage into the city to find out.

Red Bull Rampage is the pinnacle of freestyle mountain biking, the event where the best MTB riders push the limit of what is possible on two wheels and redefine the sport. But how big are the jumps and drops they jump off? It's easy to lose perspective of the size and scale of the craziness in the Utah cliffs, so we've brought them into a city to show you just how insane they really are. Think Less brought this to life through a short film that brings the event to scale.

How we did it

Red Bull Rampage is a high-stakes freestyle mountain biking event that was brought to life through the creative lens of Think Less. We re-contextualized these gravity-defying stunts within an urban setting, creating dramatic scenes such as rider Jaxson Riddle suspended from a nearly vertical building and a 5-story drop executed at the Natural History Museum.

Our film utilized a Wes Anderson-inspired style, blending high-octane action with a quirky and light-hearted tone, emphasized by minimalist animation. Leveraging cutting-edge tools like the Angénieux "25 - 250" and an innovative drone for tracking shots, our team crafted a cinematic experience that truly captures the exhilarating thrill and audacity of Rampage.
